Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Zack's Analysis:

It’s hard to fathom the Nets going from last year's Game 7 heartbreaker against the Bucks to potentially being swept in the first round this postseason. But they let two golden opportunities slip away in the first two games of this series. In Game 3, the Celtics put the clamps on not only Kevin Durant, but Brooklyn's entire bench. Take Boston as it completes a clean sweep and defeats the Nets for the seventh straight time.

Matt's Analysis:

I just have a hard time seeing a team as talented as the Nets being swept; maybe I am overestimating Kevin Durant because he has simply not been very good. Ben Simmons is expected to make his season and Nets debut Monday and should at least help defensively. We faded Philly going for a sweep on the road in Toronto expecting a minor letdown and we may see the same here for the C's. Update: The Nets just ruled out Simmons in a surprise. So that sucks. I still tend to think Brooklyn wins, though.
