So Steph Curry put up 62 points last night to answer his critics, but he did so in a game where defense was optional. That's not to say he's not capable of doing it again, it's just I don't see the Warriors and Steph having the same kind of performance on the second night of a back-to-back. Particularly against a Sacramento team that does provide some resistance on the defensive end, which is a lot more than I can say about Portland. This total is just too high. Maybe Steph goes for 60 again, but I don't think everybody else on the court will combine for 174 if he does.
The Kings went 3-0 against the Warriors last season and I think that continues Monday night at Golden State. The Warriors put up 137 points last night, behind 62 from Steph Curry, and it's unlikely they have a similar explosion tonight. Sacramento is a bit undervalued and should improve to 5-2 ATS this season.
The Warriors will be playing the second game of a back-to-back set and for the third time in four days, so it will be interesting to see how they deploy their players. Stephen Curry logged 36 minutes on Sunday, so there is a chance he sits out this game for rest. The same can be said for Draymond Green, who played 28 minutes and only recently returned from injury. The Warriors will feel it if they sit either player. I’ll take a chance on the Kings here because I think they could cover, even if Golden State deploys its starters as usual.
