Brooklyn will be playing the second of a back-to-back and without its three best players in Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving (both resting) and Spencer Dinwiddie (out for the season due to knee injury suffered Sunday). Memphis should be able to get its first win of the season as long as Ja Morant takes the court.
The Grizzlies lost their first two games at home to improved clubs (Sacramento and Atlanta) and now take on the Nets in Brooklyn. The spread is so low here because the Nets played last night in Charlotte, losing 106-104, and Kevin Durant is a game-time decision (rest). Spencer Dinwiddie is lost for the season after suffering a torn ACL against the Hornets. The best angle here is the Under, as all of Brooklyn's first three games have gone that way.
The Nets played yesterday in what turned out to be a surprising loss to Charlotte. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving played 36 minutes apiece, so there’s a chance that at least one of them sits out this matchup against the Grizzlies. Spencer Dinwiddie also might not be available after suffering a knee injury on Sunday. I’m going to take a chance that Brooklyn ends up resting both of its stars and jump on Memphis and the points now.
