FanDuel. I like Kevin Gausman in this spot. He’s not racking up the strikeouts like he did a few years ago, but he has cleared this line in three of his last five starts. The matchup is solid too - the Rays strikeout 25% of the time versus righties in away games (and 27.4% overall against righties the last two weeks). Tampa’s lineup today has seven plus strikeout targets for Gausman.
This is working a bit differently than envisioned for the Rays, who were handed a home-heavy schedule for the first half of the season to coincide with less-rainy summer weather now that they're playing home games outdoors in Tampa in 2025. But to this point, Tampa Bay is faring better on the road (8-6) than at home (11-17). The Rays have won the last three starts made by Zack Littell on the mound, having posted a solid ERA of 3.00 across those outings. Littell is pitching more consistently than erratic Toronto counterpart Kevin Gausman, who's sandwiched one good start vs. Cleveland on May 3 around three mediocre efforts in which he's posted an 8.36 ERA. Play Rays on the Money Line.
Hope I'm not forcing this simply because I don't like much today. I would play F5 Under 5 if offered here, but we are only seeing 4.5s. I do like Jays starter Kevin Gausman, who is 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA at home in three starts. One of the few Rays with good career splits off him is Yandy Diaz, who isn't available in the series due to passport issues. Tampa starter Zack Littell has a 4.92 ERA in four day starts. The Jays have woken up offensively of late, hitting .285 over the past two weeks.
