Minnesota is angry after a bad performance and they should get to RDetmers.

We really have to pick our spots carefully with the Halos, who have endured a brutal month as they have disappeared into the basement of the AL West. But this might be a night to take a chance with Reid Detmers, who has blown hot and cold in the rotation the past couple of seasons. Yet a three-month stint in AAA appears to have ironed out his mechanics to the point he is once again trusted in the rotation, and his return game vs. the Dodgers last Tuesday was encouraging, allowing two runs and three hits, while striking out ten, in six solid innings of work. Meanwhile the Twins are wobbling, getting swept by KC on the weekend. Play Angels on Money Line

The Twins are excellent against southpaws, boasting a bottom-10 strikeout rate and top-10 OPS. Reid Detmers is making just his second start since June and struck out 10 in his first start back, inflating this line. Minnesota's projected lineup sports exceptional numbers against Detmers.

Angels starter Reid Detmers pitched well against the Dodgers last time out, fanning 10, but that was at home. On the road he owns a 6.00 ERA and he's facing a Twins lineup that he has struggled with. Minnesota owns a collective .926 OPS versus Detmers. Detmers has been shellacked in his last three road starts overall. Twins starter David Festa has allowed two or fewer runs in seven of his last eight starts. Look for Minnesota to lead after five.

The Twins haven't been playing well of late but have largely been on the road. They are 39-30 at home and really no reason not to sweep the terrible Angels starting with beating Reid Detmers (3-6, 5.87 ERA). Minnesota swept three games in Anaheim earlier this year.
