Lynn gave up two home runs in the third inning when he say the Braves on July 15th. Additionally, he is coming off matching a season high of ten hits allowed his last start against the Red Sox. The Dodgers are a ridiculous 24-4 in August. And starter Lance Lynn has been awesome since coming over from the White Sox. But this is his toughest test yet. He's only fanned four batters over his last two starts -- a bad recipe versus Atlanta's MLB-best offense. Braves starter Spencer Strider has gone five straight outings without allowing a homer.

The Dodgers have already beaten Spencer Strider once this season. The Dodgers' lineup has an .818 OPS in 33 at-bats against Atlanta's top pitcher. The Braves are coming off a three-game series at a high altitude without any days off. On the other hand, the Dodgers have a perfect 5-0 record when Lance Lynn is on the bump, and they have a rested bullpen. Take the Blue Crew on the run line!

The Dodgers are home dogs for only the second time since 2018 (see news feed), and I get it considering the Braves are starting Cy Young contender Spencer Strider. However, Lance Lynn has been excellent since LA acquired him from the White Sox. The Dodgers' bullpen is in great shape because it routed Arizona three games this week. Atlanta has a bit of a disadvantage coming off playing in the altitude of Denver on Wednesday night. I normally don't go out of my way to watch MLB in August, but I will this one because there's no good late-night college football. Getting LA, which can tie the franchise record for wins in a month, home at +1.5 is something I have to play.
