It's hard not to take the over with this pitching matchup. Atlanta's Charlie Morton has struggled in both of his starts against the Mets this season, surrendering five and four earned runs before the fifth inning. New York's Taijuan Walker faced the Braves at the beginning of the month and gave up eight earned runs in just a single inning. The Braves have now won seven straight games. They'll need to put up runs on Walker to secure the win tonight, assuming Morton has another rough start against the Mets. The over is 6-0-1 in the last seven games between the Braves and Mets, and it is 9-3-1 in the 13 times they have played this season.

I thought the Braves would come out with revenge on their minds yesterday and that’s exactly what they did. Travis D’arnaud also returned to the lineup and that was big for the Braves. Charlie Morton has been extremely hit or miss this season and he actually hasn’t had much success against the Mets. However, Taijuan Walker is starting for the Mets and he has actually been hit hard lately and he allowed 8 ER in 1 IP against the Braves two starts ago in his only time facing them this season. The Braves are 7-2 at home since the All-Star break and the Mets bullpen is ranked just 19th since the ASB while the Braves are ranked 13th.
