I suppose you worry about a team a day after scoring 17 runs as it usually seems then said team scores like one, but Detroit was without two of its better hitters Thursday in their 17-14 win over the Vikings, err Twins, in Jonathan Schoop and Miguel Cabrera and both are back in there tonight. Detroit enters on a nine-game home winning streak, its longest since a 10-game streak from July 14-August 15, 2013. Former No. 1 overall pick Casey Mize (5-5, 3.63) generally won't last more than five innings but usually not give up more than two runs. It's southpaw Alexander Wells for the Birds (1-1, 4.35) and Detroit is 7-3 in its past 10 vs. a lefty.

Orioles lefty Alexander Wells makes his fourth MLB appearance and second career start, but his Triple-A Norfolk stats weren’t that impressive, allowing 44 hits and 23 runs in 43 innings of work. Both teams have been playing well lately, but the attraction to the Tigers is the disparity in price between the starters. It’s cheap with Casey Mize (+9.6 units), who was getting great players out before Detroit started playing well. Tigers to win.

The Tigers have been one of the most profitable teams in the league this season and you can see why after winning two straight in Minnesota at +170 and +120. They head home now where they are much better and face an Orioles team that is much worse on the road. Casey Mize won't go dep into the game but hell give four solid innings and he should be able to get the lead for a Tigers team who scored 17 runs yesterday without a home run. Take the Tigers at home.
