The Tigers haven’t lost a game since the All Star break and the Rangers haven’t won a game since the All Star break. They have faced lefty starters in four of those six games. They get lefty Tyler Alexander today, and although he isn’t stretched out he could give them some length in he is efficient with his pitch count. Mike Foltynewicz has been much worse at 1-5 with a 8.10 ERA on the road this season. The Tigers are 27-22 at home while the Rangers are 13-36 on the road.

The Tigers have outscored the Rangers 22-3 in this series, and I like them to complete the sweep. Mike Foltynewicz has an 8.10 road ERA and didn't get out of the second inning last time out. Texas is 13-36 on the road. Back Detroit to win its seventh straight and continue its climb toward .500.

Been cashing all week on Detroit in this series and see no reason why the Tigers won't complete the four-game sweep and win their sixth straight overall and eighth in a row at home. Texas has lost eight in a row, all by at least two runs, and is the only winless team since the break. And it starts one of the worst pitchers in the AL in Mike Foltynewicz (2-9, 5.91). He only gave up 10 runs over 1.2 innings last time out AND will be on short rest, meaning he probably won't be out there long. He may not be out there long simply as he's not good. It almost doesn't matter which pitcher Detroit is starting (Tyler Alexander). He won't be out there long, either, with a season high of 3.1 innings pitched.
