For opponents from the lesser leagues in FBS, points against Alabama are hard to come by. Middle Tennessee managed seven in this year's opener. Last season, Utah State was shut out and Louisiana-Monroe was held to seven. Double-digits is a reasonable goal for USF. Bama reportedly will switch QBs, Tyler Buchner in for Jalen Milroe. Buchner played well at times while at Notre Dame but was unable to win the starting gig. By any measure, the Tide's run of NFL-ready QBs is over. With thunderstorms forecasted, the offense with the new guy at the controls could be kept in check.

The Under has hit the last 14 times Alabama enters a game off a loss. That totally makes sense. Coach Nick Saban cracks down on his players and gets back to basics. Last week's loss to Texas showed that this Tide offense is still a work in progress and doesn't have the game-breaking receivers of recent Alabama teams. Even better: Saban has decided to sit dual-threat quarterback Jalen Milroe in favor of pocket passer Tyler Buchner. While Milroe had trouble making reads, his legs made the Bama offense dangerous. I'm taking the Under.

I cannot imagine what practice has been like for Alabama this week but I can assure you of one thing, it wasn't pleasant. Nick Saban has likely been going tin horn on everyone in Tuscaloosa and the Crimson Tide team and coordinators will then take that out on South Florida. Defense will create turnovers for the offense, the offense will punch in TD's and there is no stopping, maximum effort to the final second. The Bulls can score too so it's icing on the cake, but know that Alabama is bringing thunder Saturday.
