4 Live PicksDeebo Samuel is under this line in 3/4 games. …
Tre Harris should have a big role on Sunday against the Broncos. …
Christian McCaffery cleared this line in all three matchups last season against Seattle. …
Michael Wilson has racked up 30 targets over the last two weeks. …
FanDuel. After seeing four targets and catching two balls for 36 yards last week, Cody White should once again be poised for a big role for the Raiders this week. Las Vegas will once again be without Jalen Nailor and Jack Bech, meaning White will be on the field for most two wide receiver sets (54% route share last week). The Patriots have been torched out wide lately, and are without both starting cornerbacks. Ashton Jeanty is active, but banged up, and with Christian Barmore back for the Pats, I don’t expect an effective run game for the Raiders as is.
FanDuel. Alvin Kamara has struggled on the ground this season, yielding only 3.0 yards per carry. And through the air, he’s turned 14 targets into just 47 receiving yards. So even in an elevated role without Travis Etienne, I’m very okay fading the ten-year veteran on his combined line in what is an awful matchup. The Vikings are fourth in FTN’s DVOA metric against the run, and second against running backs in the passing game. Overall, they allow the fifth fewest yards to the position. Kamara comes into this game questionable, and splitting touches as is. I’d bet this down to under 50.5.
DraftKings. Tyler Warren is under this line in all four games this season. His average depth of target is 2.3 yards, with only four of 27 targets longer than 10 air yards (with a long of 13). In general, Daniel Jones has been completely deep ball averse this season - he has the lowest percent of 20+ air yards throws and the sixth lowest at 10+ air yards. The Steelers have allowed the eighth fewest completions of at least 10+ air yards (4.8 per game) at the ninth lowest target per route run. This is a better matchup for the receivers than Warren as is. I’d bet this down to under 18.5 yards.
FanDuel. Even with Nico Collins back last week, Jaylin Noel recorded 85 receiving yards on three catches. Leap-frogging Xavier Hutchinson on the depth chart, Noel’s route share of 63% was virtually tied with Kayshon Boutte for second behind Collins. Running most routes out of the slot, he’ll face a Titans defense that’s allowed the sixth most yards per route run (2.27) and the seventh highest yards per target (9.78). CJ Stroud is 7/7 when targeting Noel at least 10 yards downfield - the Titans allow the highest completion percentage (74%) and the fourth highest yards per route run (3.41) to pass catchers on 10+ air yard throws.
FanDuel. Cam Skattebo has yet to record a rush for more than 13 yards this season, and in his career he only has four 15+ yard rushes in 169 attempts. He’ll be up against the stout rush defense of the Commanders, who have only allowed a 2.1% explosive rush rate (two 15+ yard runs in 94 attempts). Washington allows the fifth fewest yards after contact per attempt (1.61), which will bode well for defending Skattebo (19th in that metric, but 40th in yards before contact). The ASU product is also dealing with a bum shoulder, and has been ceding more work to Najee Harris of late. I’d bet this down to under 13.5 yards - I think this line is off.
FanDuel. Despite playing games with different quarterbacks in various weather conditions, Rome Odunze has cleared this line in each game. His separation score is fourth best amongst the 160 players who’ve ran 50+ routes this season - a quarterback friendly stat. The Bears will be going with Tyson Bagent, a better fit for Odunze than Cade Keenum as he’s more willing to sling the ball downfield. And against the Packers, Odunze has a plus matchup out wide as Green Bay allows the eight most yards per route run (2.34) as compared to ranking inside the top eight against slot and inline pass catchers.
FanDuel. Chris Godwin played a big part in rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels’ debut. Godwin reeled in six catches on seven targets (26% target rate), on a very QB friendly 2.3 average depth of target. He lined up in the slot for 70% of his routes, saw two designed screens, and had a 24% first read rate (all per Fantasy Points Data). Against the Cowboys, the Bucs will likely be in position where they’ll be throwing. Godwin will avoided the Joey Porter Jr. matchup lining up inside, and the Cowboys have allowed the seventh most catches out of the slot as is. He might not break 25 yards, but I’m expecting another high volume game for the veteran.
DraftKings. Josiah Trotter has cleared this line in two of the three games he’s played with a combined nine tackles in the one miss. Against the Cowboys tonight as more than one touchdown underdogs I expect Tampa‘s defense to be on the field plenty in the game, in which Dallas‘s offense should be running significant amount of place giving Trotter, plenty of opportunity for tackles. In each of Dallas‘s last three games an off-ball linebacker has recorded at least nine combined tackles.
DraftKings. Drake London is fresh off a nine reception game (10 targets) - his first outing this season with competent quarterback play. In fact, he’s cleared this line in 10/15 career games he’s played with Michael Penix Jr. Between Bijan Robinson and maybe Kyle Pitts, this Falcons offense is incredibly lean in terms of ball distribution. And the matchup is great, as the Saints are ill-equipped to defend London. New Orleans is allowing 14 catches per game to opposing first reads (seventh most). London should feast against the Saints perimeter cornerbacks who both run five inches shorter than the 6’4’’ receiver.
DraftKings. Alvin Kamara will presumably take on a larger role in the absence of Travis Etienne, but I still see this as a very high line for the 31-year old. As a runner, Kamara is only managing 2.8 yards per carry, with a long of 11 yards. The Falcons defense not only allows a league best 2.75 yards per carry, but also. 1.9% explosive run rate (thanks to the newly extended Gervon Dexter Jr.). And the Falcons defense limits running backs in the passing game with their single-high, cover 3 scheme. Kamara will split work with Kendre Miller and CJ Donaldson as is - Tyler Shough is not as nearly reliant on checkdowns as Saints QBs of the past. Bet this down to under 54.5.
DraftKings. Dating back to last season, Mike Hughes has cleared this line in nine of his last ten full games. As a cornerback, this is a solid spot for him to rack up the tackles against a pass-happy Saints offense. New Orleans has the sixth highest pass play percentage (64%), a mark that could go up as they’re without running back Travis Etienne. And their passing game is centered around wide-outs Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele, who command a combined 44% target share. I have Hughes notching six combined stops tonight.
