Both teams are trending this way -- Clemson five of the last six, Pitt four of the last five. Now, with Panthers QB Eli Holstein out, another Under beckons. Holstein's likely replacement, Nate Yarnell, has three career starts but none this season. Holstein has been outstanding, the main reason Pitt has lifted its scoring average ranking from 114th last season to 16th. He will be missed. The Tigers have regressed on offense, scoring 21 and 24 the past two outings after living in the 40s for much of the season.

Pitt quarterback Eli Holstein has officially been ruled out. Clemson is a solid defensive football team, and Pitt isn't bad either. What this comes down to is I have uncertainty about the Panthers being able to score enough points without Holstein to push this total over.

In Clemson's last eight road games, the under is 6-1-1, with the games averaging less than 42 points per game in those spots. With the status of Pitt's quarterback, Eli Holstein, uncertain, I think the Panthers will struggle to produce much against Clemson's stingy defense. Clemson 31, Pittsburgh 14
