In their first year following the retirement of esteemed former coach Craig Bohl, the Cowboys have been mostly dreadful. Their trademark stingy defense has given way to one of the worst units in the country, and the offense has struggled to get traction. But a switch to freshman QB Kaden Anderson injected some life into the offense, and the motivation factor is huge in a Border War matchup against a Colorado State club that already has a bowl berth locked up. This is Wyoming's bowl game, and the Cowboys should give commensurate effort.

This is one of the oldest and most heated rivalries in college football, and the Bronze Boot is one of the coolest trophies out there. History has proven that anything can happen in the Border War. This year, CSU is a vastly superior team to Wyoming, even without Tory Horton. The Rams are undefeated in conference play against the spread, and I expect that trend to continue on Friday in Fort Collins.
