We're pretty sure that John Calipari doesn't have to remind his troops how they laid a massive egg on March 1 at Columbia. That 72-53 scoreline almost flatters the Hogs, who were down as much as 35 in the second half. Importantly, however, the Razorbacks recovered from that loss to win at Vandy and home vs. Mississippi State to stabilize their at-large candidacy, with Gs Johnell Davis (21 vs. the Dores) & DJ Wagner (24 vs. the Bulldogs) continuing their ascents since Boogie Fland went down. Also, depending upon when one might have got involved in recent Arkansas games, the Porkers have only dropped 1 of their last 11 (the "1" at South Carolina) vs. the number. It's essentially an NCAA Tournament game for the Razorbacks in the SEC Tournament opener as they are considered just on the right side of the bubble but most likely will not be Dancing with a loss to a South Carolina team with just 2 SEC wins. One of those was a rather inexplicable 19-point home victory over the Fighting Caliparis on March 1, but that should ensure Arkansas won't take this for granted. That's the Hogs' only loss in their past five.

Arkansas turned its season around after getting blown out by Missouri on Jan. 18. The Hogs went 8-5 the rest of the way with four of the losses being tight. The one bad performance though came at South Carolina where Arkansas got blown out 72-53. That was the second game with injured Adou Thiero and the Hogs looked lost. I expect a different story this time around. There is a chance Thiero could play, although I'm not banking on it. Since that loss, the Hogs scored 90 and 93 points without Thiero. South Carolina is pesky but not nearly as good away from home. I'll take Arkansas to get revenge and advance. Play Hogs ML or on the spread -3 or less.
