Look past Wofford's inferior overall record, and there is a lot to like about the underdog. The Terriers own a better points differential in league competition. Their win in the home-and-away series was far more impressive (by 19 points) than Furman's (by three). The Paladins were extended to overtime Sunday, with four starters logging between 33 and 37 minutes, while Wofford's starters all put in 20-plus minutes of work in a 20-point breeze. Defense matters in league finals, and the Terriers give up three fewer points per game than the Paladins do.

Paladins are playing their best basketball of the season with wins over Samford (two), Wofford and Chattanooga in the last month. Furman had a much tougher road to the championship game, while Wofford caught a break getting 11 seed VMI in the semifinals. Should be a good title game but I'm riding red-hot Furman to get the NCAA Tournament bid. Bet ML up to -150 or take the spread under -3.
