UNLV was able to survive at San Jose State on Tuesday without top scorer PG Dedan Thomas (15.6 ppg), but his absence remains hard to downplay. The Wolf Pack will be a tougher test tonight as Steve Alford seems to have straightened out the Reno ship with five W's across the last seven, including several lopsided wins (Air Force, Fresno, and Wyoming). The Pack also took down the Rebs 71-65 at Lawlor Center back on February 1, as Alford's bench provided the difference, with contributions from G Tyler Rolison & F Justin McBride (both 12 points). With Thomas likely out, Nevada has the top two threats on the floor in F Nick Davidson (16.2 ppg) & G Kobe Sanders (15.2 ppg). Play Nevada.
