    Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Bob's Analysis:

Virginia Tech has lost four of its last five games. The Cavaliers snuck out a win against Wake Forest while shooting 1-11 from the free throw line. The Hokies are 12-2 SU at home and have been holding opponents to 64.2 points per game. Virginia has only been averaging 61.4 points per game on the road and shooting 47.3% effectively as compared to the Hokies 56.7% at home. Virginia has the better defense, but their offense has been their main problem. This should be a close game, but with the Cavaliers struggle from the free throw line, 58.3% over their last three games, this may come down to that and Virginia Tech is 3rd in the country from the stripe.
