We backed Pepperdine at -4.5 yesterday vs. Bellarmine and said the Waves should have little problem if they were "engaged" because they would have the two best players on the court by far in first-team All-WCC selections in guard Colbey Ross and forward Kessler Edwards. The Waves weren't engaged in the first half but definitely were in the second in winning by double digits. I see no reason why another fairly easy win won't happen against Coastal Carolina with essentially the same logic. The Chants are 6-15 ATS in their last 21 games following a win.

The Waves have covered five straight, and I think they keep it going in the CBI final versus Coastal Carolina. Pepperdine has a pair of All-WCC players who never come off the floor. This is a team that beat BYU and California and lost in overtime to UCLA. Coastal Carolina's record looks a lot prettier but that's because the Chanticleers played the 260th-toughest schedule, compared to Pepperdine's 107th-toughest schedule. Lay the points.
