NJ online casinos outperform Atlantic City properties for first time ever in June
With $271 million in June revenue, online casinos in New Jersey accomplished two landmark feats, including posting the first string of consecutive months with more than $270 million in revenue.
Online casinos in New Jersey kicked off the summer with a bang, as iGaming operators in the Garden State combined for some $271 million in revenue in June. It marked the first time in the industry's history that the market reported back-to-back months of more than $270 million.
More importantly, that $271 million total topped the over $257 million generated by Atlantic City casinos. Why is that noteworthy? It's the first time New Jersey online casinos have outperformed land-based casinos in June.
June sees significant growth from NJ online casinos
According to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), NJ online casinos put together a historic month in June. It's yet another landmark moment for an industry that has only continued to grow since the first real money online casino apps went live in 2013.
