NJ online casino player sets Hard Rock Bet Casino record with $2.1 million jackpot
A New Jersey online casino player claimed a massive progressive jackpot for the third time in 2026, this one setting a Hard Rock Bet Casino record.
Fireworks went off early in New Jersey on Independence Day, as a Hard Rock Bet Casino user turned a $2 spin into nearly $2.1 million to set the operator's record for the largest progressive jackpot ever paid out.
NJ online casino player becomes first $2 million winner at Hard Rock Bet
According to Hard Rock Bet Casino online, the record-setting win occurred in the early hours of July 4. It was then that an NJ online casino user opened Silver Lux: Sevens Hold'em Respin and made a $2 spin.
That wager became $2,097,043.30 in winnings for the customer and turned into the all-time largest payout awarded by the real money online casino.
It was also the first time that the Mega tier of the Hard Rock Bet Jackpots feature surpassed $2 million. It marks the third straight month that a Hard Rock Bet Casino user claimed the top jackpot prize.
Hard Rock Bet Casino continues to crown millionaires
Since debuting Hard Rock Bet Jackpots in April, three New Jersey players have won the Mega tier playing progressive jackpot slots.
The first came in May, when a South Plainfield woman won $1.942 million. That was followed three weeks later by a $1.937 million winner. Factor in this latest jackpot prize, and Hard Rock Bet Casino has paid out over $5.9 million in Mega tier jackpots.
New Jersey players can play progressive jackpots by opting in for an additional $0.20 per spin, with that added amount qualifying users for a chance to win one of four progressive jackpots: Mini, Minor, Major and Mega.
Meanwhile, Hard Rock Bet's Michigan online casino produced four Mega winners in June alone, all of which combined for over $900,800 in payouts. Michigan, though, sees its top prize start at $5,000, compared with $100,000 in New Jersey. Because Michigan players have hit more frequently, that Mega jackpot continues to be reset.
