I was pondering the under here regardless as Houston is so good defensively, but now I'll pounce with Wichita State leading scorer Jaykwon Walton out (14.0 ppg). These schools combined for 131 points on Feb. 2 in Wichita and Walton had 24 points in the loss.

Houston has the No. 1 scoring defense in the nation, allowing 56 points per game, and opponents shoot only 36% against them. When the Cougars are at home they tighten up, allowing only 34% shooting and 53 points a game. But I still like the Over here just because the Over has cashed in Wichita State'e last 13 games. The Shockers are getting faster as the season goes on, averaging 80 points a game in their last five. I’m on the Over.

Houston has clinched the AAC regular season title and is all but locked into a No. 1 NCAA seed. That tilts the motivational edge to the visitors, and they should embrace it. Wichita is unbeaten ATS on the road and has swept the last five straight-up. The Shockers wield the league’s No. 3 defense and should keep the Cougars from going on runs. The Coogs are a modest 9-8 ATS at home and have covered once in the past five scenarios when meeting foes with winning road records.

The Shockers are 10-0-1 ATS on the road this season, and I like them to be fairly competitive even though it is Houston's Senior Night. Wichita State has won five straight road games outright and is coming off its best performance, an 83-76 win at Tulane. Senior guard Craig Porter Jr. had a triple-double in the victory (15 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists). In the first matchup with Houston, the Shockers lost by just nine despite going 3 of 20 from deep. The Cougars already have locked up the outright conference regular-season title. Take the points.
