A lot to like about the Avs, is doing the best imitation of posting shutouts since Don Drysdale fired a record six of them in a row for the Dodgers back in 1968. In NHL terms, three straight shutouts, as Colorado has pitched, roughly equates to Drysdale in May/June of '68. Across the last five games, just four goals allowed. Scott Wedgewood, with a 1.33 GAA and .948 saves in November, is likely in in goal this afternoon. Not to be outdone are the Wild, with three shutout wins their last six, and Jesper Wallstedt expected to be in net after recording all three of those shutouts within his last four starts! Jesper's GAA in five November starts...0.99!! Play Avs-Wild Under
So I am definitely slumping. I blame holiday stress, the Bitcoin slide (actually not kidding about that one) and that one dude who was always in the middle of Hollywood Squares. I don't remember the name but anyone over a certain age will get that. Holy irritating. Also Flo from "Alice." And the new Flo (way worse). So tail with caution as I may take a mini-holiday break. But I am dedicated and have to play one something. The possibly historically-good Avalanche had no trouble covering -2.5 last time out, but that was at home. After a slow start, the Wild have figured things out on a six-game run. Decent price at +1.5 considering other books are in the -190/200 range. Just get to OT.
