The New England Patriots (2-3) host the Dallas Cowboys (4-1) in a key Week 6 NFL game between two of the league's most popular franchises on Sunday, October 17 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. The Cowboys are 3.5-point favorites in the latest Cowboys vs. Patriots odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the over-under is set at 50.5 points. In addition to the point spread and standard betting lines, Caesars is also offering a plethora of prop bet options for this highly intriguing inter-conference matchup, and SportsLine NFL expert R.J. Mac Jones Over 37.5 pass attempts (+105)

"Bill Belichick hasn't been shy about having his rookie signal-caller throw it a bunch, as Jones has three games so far where he's thrown the ball 39 times or more. In this matchup, expect plenty of passes from the rookie, as the Cowboys have allowed the second-most pass attempts and the most passing yards in the league as teams try to keep up with their high-powered offense. Jones had 40 attempts in a competitive game against the high-powered Bucs two weeks ago and 51 attempts against the Saints where the Patriots found themselves down big. That should cover a large majority of the outcomes for this game, and I'm looking for about 40 attempts again here."

Mac Jones Over 0.5 interceptions (-140)

"Jones has five picks in five games, but those are concentrated over the last three weeks as he'd had to do more in the passing game in matchups with the Saints, Bucs and Texans. I expect he'll need to throw it a bunch in this game, which is why I like the Over on his pass attempts, and the more he throws, the better chance one of those attempts will be an interceptions. He'll be facing a Dallas defense that has racked up a league-best 10 interceptions on the year. Star corner Trevon Diggs is in question for this game, but Jerry Jones has said he believes Diggs will play, which is good news for this prop cashing in."

Blake Jarwin Under 1.5 receptions (+100)

Jarwin has seen his snap count go down as Dalton Schultz has emerged as the primary weapon at the position for the Cowboys, and he played a season-low 40% of the snaps last week while seeing no targets for the first time this year one week after catching one pass (albeit a touchdown). This should be a bad matchup for both Schultz and Jarwin, as the Patriots have surrendered just 11 catches to tight ends all year. That includes shutting out Mike Gesicki in Week 1, while Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard combined for only two receptions in Week 4 with Rob Gronkowski sidelined. Expect Schultz to get the precious few tight end targets in this game.
