Carolina won in Atlanta earlier this season and that was with Sam Darnold at quarterback. Cam Newton isn't great these days but he's still miles better than Darnold. The Panthers, off their bye, also get left tackle Cameron Erving back from injury. We will take the backdoor cover out of play with the moneyline.

The Panthers offense looked terrible with Cam Newton under center the last time we saw it, but this should be a much easier test against an awful Atlanta defense. However, Carolina wants to build around the run after firing OC Joe Brady, and a game with a lot of running limits possessions and keeps the clock moving. The Falcons offense was terrible the first time these two teams met, and I expect another strong performance from the Carolina defense. That should lead to a similar 19-13 type of final in an outdoors game in December after those teams played to that score in the dome earlier.
