FanDuel. If nothing else, Anthony Edwards has proven himself to be a willing rebounder in the postseason. Registering 9 boards in Game 1, Ant Man had has averaged at least 7 rebounds over each of his last two playoffs. With Rudy Gobert going toe-to-toe with Nikola Jokic, and Julius Randle underperforming on the glass all season, Edwards should be able to cash in. He’ll rarely be involved defensively in the on-ball action, guarding the low usage Cam Johnson and Christian Braun.

Murray scored 30 points in Game 1, and he was 0-for-8 on 3’s, and 7-of-22 shooting overall. Find the highlights, it was awkward watching the Wolves just chase Murray around, then running into him to send him to the line (he went 16-of-16 on FTs). He could have shot more and scored far more. There is no good matchup for Murray, and the Timberwolves are a bottom-five team in defense vs. point guards.

This number has dropped to 9.5 at multiple books but I am also good going Over 10.5 at plus money. Nikola Jokic had 11 assists on 21 potential assists in Game 1, right in line with how he performed vs. Minnesota in the regular season. He is very comfortable facing Rudy Gobert and is happy to set up his teammates instead of bulling his way to the basket. Look for more of the same in Game 2.

FanDuel. Nikola Jokic delivered 11 assists in Game 1 on 21 potentials - a number that should have translated to 12-13 dimes, based on his regular season averages. But as I pointed out on Twitter/X before Game 1, this matchup is solid for Jokic to rack up the assists. The Timberwolves, despite stingy opponent assists numbers overall, were 19th in the regular season in assists allowed at the basket. Jokic, when playing 30+ minutes, has cleared this line in 24/32 games against teams outside the top 10 in opponent restricted area assists allowed. Rudy Gobert, who played as well as the Wolves could have hoped on Saturday, will press Jokic to get the ball out of his hands. I love this look at plus

Cameron Johnson picked up his production down the stretch, averaging 15.2 points over his final 15 games of the regular season. He shot 56.2% from the field during that span, including 48.2% from three. In Game 1, he scored 12 points against the Timberwolves despite only shooting 2-for-7 from behind the arc. The Nuggets only gave two of their bench players at least 20 minutes in Game 1, which helped Johnson log 33 minutes. After he shot 46.5% from three at home this season, I like Johnson’s chances of hitting this over for Game 2...
