With the Knicks coming off a grueling overtime effort last night, I do expect a slight uptick in minutes for Alvarado, who was capped at 18 against the Pacers. Schematically, the Sixers are average defensively against point guards, but the upside tonight is that the Knicks need Jose on the floor to defend Tyrese Maxey.

It will be a tough spot tonight to face Philadelphia, but this is also a 76ers team returning from a five game West coast road trip. They showed poor defense in the final game giving up 135 points to Portland. Look for Bridges to also be motivated as his scoring has dipped each game this year against Philadelphia, including a season worst 19 percent shooting in the last matchup.

How to explain the Pacers continuing to rise to the occasion vs. the Knicks after an earlier near-miss in December and last night's OT Indiana win? Maybe the absence of OJ Anunoby is more consequential than we realize for Mike Brown's bunch, but the Knicks had won nine of ten into last night (including at Philly on January 24), with both Jalen Brunson and KAT available and very productive on Tuesday. It's the first night home for Philly after a long trip thru the Western Conference, and maybe this time we have to take Joel Embiid's name on the injury list a bit more seriously after he missed Monday's heavy loss at Portland with knee issues. The 76ers are back home, where Tyrese Maxey averages 7.2 assists and 3.9 rebounds. New York is playing the second night of a back-to-back, following an OT game no less, and won't have OG Anunoby again. (Though Mitchell Robinson will return). Look for Maxey to clear this prop total for the third time in four meetings with the Knicks this season.
