This Landry Shamet points line is worth a bet - the backup guard has cleared this line in 10/14 games this season with at least 20 minutes, a mark he’s cleared in each of the last three games. Karl Anthony-Towns and Deuce McBride are out, and OG Anunoby is questionable - even if the latter plays, Shamet has a comfortable minutes floor tonight.

Eight wins and covers on the trot for the Knicks, whose season began its turnaround after that clear-the-air team meeting before the 120-66 romp past the Nets on January 21. The Knicks weren't compelled to make any earth-shattering moves at the trade deadline, though adding G Jose Alvarado from the Pels improves backcourt depth. Still, we go with New York here mostly on account of the win streak and not the personnel report, as Alvarado will not be available tonight, and KAT (eye laceration) might not be ready to go, either. OJ Anunoby is another questionable for tonight. Yet Detroit, with covers in just two of six, and off a loss to Washington, hasn't been offering great value lately. Play Knicks

Duncan Robinson scored nine points in 21 minutes when the Pistons hosted the Knicks on Jan. 5. But he's playing more now, with 30 minutes in three of his last five games. He made 6 of 15 treys Thursday against the Wizards and has been a more prolific scorer at home (13.4 ppg compared to 10.5 ppg away). This homestand began with Robinson scoring eight points in a blowout win. The next two games were competitive, and Robinson scored 20 and 21. This one should be close as well.

Cade Cunningham has had a lot of success against the Knicks. When he faced them earlier this season, he had 45 combined points, rebounds and assists despite playing just 29 minutes in a blowout win. In the playoffs last season, he averaged 25.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists against them. That was after averaging 30.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.3 assists across four regular season meetings. In this battle between two of the top teams in the East, I like Cunningham to hit this over.
