Karl Anthony Towns has had lower scoring games recently. He scored a season low two points in December 21st’s matchup against the Heat, and on Christmas only eleven points against the Cavaliers. Part of that had to due with foul trouble, and also the Knicks riding the hot hand with some of their bench players. Tonight, look for KAT to be more assertive against a Hawks team that has lost five straight while giving up an average of 133 points. Play his over.

Josh Hart (ankle) will not play against the Hawks. That could lead to more minutes for Mitchell Robinson, who started over Hart at the beginning of the season. One of the best offensive rebounders in the league, Robinson has recorded at least nine rebounds in three of his last five games. In two of those games, he hauled in at least 13 boards. The Hawks have allowed the seventh-most offensive rebounds per game in the league, so I like Robinson to have a big night on the glass.

FanDuel. Dyson Daniels is under this line in 7/8 games played with Trae Young this season. With Young back playing his regular minutes allotment, Daniels will see his pick and roll opportunities lessen. Relegated to more spot up duties, I’ll take my chances with Daniels as a spot up shooter: he’s 2/27 from three over his last eleven games. And with this being a tough rebounding matchup (and Daniels likely laser focused on defending Jalen Brunson), I don’t see this as a big production matchup for the guard.
Things aren't going for the Hawks, as even the recent return of Trae Young hasn't slowed a descent that accelerated further in last night's 126-11 loss to the Heat. The absence of Kristaps Porzingis for much of December hasn't helped much, either, but the recent losses are nonetheless alarming for their degree and absence of much defensive presence, as ATL has allowed 126 or more in each loss of the current five-game skid, conceding nearly 133 pg across that span. The "good" version of the Knicks, which we've seen a lot lately, can surely capitalize, and Jalen Brunson's eyes must be as big as saucers at the thought of playing against the Hawks' non-defense after scoring 81 points across his past two games.
