The New Orleans Pelicans have five straight wins after erasing a double digit deficit late against Dallas Monday. Expect the organization to pull back tonight. Herbert Jones has already been ruled out, Jordan Poole is questionable, and Zion Williamson will likely play less minutes. That gives room for rookie Jeremiah Fears to have an impact against a Cavaliers team that has struggled defensively, and not covered in six straight games. Play his points over.
There's always a question about Zion Williamson playing back-to-back nights; he hasn't since October 2024, so with the Pels off of a quick turnaround following their win vs. the Mavs last night, James Borrego will have a gametime decision in Cleveland. Yet perhaps NO has found a way to better use Zion, now coming off the bench as a super sub, and scoring another 24 in his latest highlight show on Monday. That was the fifth straight win for the Pels, who are also getting contributions from elsewhere in the uptick. Meanwhile, the Cavs offense looked its best in a couple of weeks last night vs. the Hornets, but Cleveland still couldn't cover a big price, making it ten spread Ls in twelve. Play Pelicans

This is the second game of a back-to-back set for the Pelicans. Zion Williamson has not played on consecutive days all season, so I think he sits this game out. Herbert Jones sprained his ankle Monday, so I don’t think he plays, either. Saddiq Bey has already been productive, scoring at least 15 points in 13 of his last 14 games. I like him to hit this over against a Cavaliers team that has given up at least 116 points in all five games that Evan Mobley (calf) has missed this season.
