The Knicks' perimeter defense has not exactly been stingy when it comes to giving up 3-point attempts, and Cam Thomas is a gunner if you ever saw one. Brooklyn is one of the hardest playing teams in the league and should keep this one close, giving Thomas a full minutes load at getting to three triples.

New York is 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS against the Nets at home since February of 2023. However, this New York is still figuring out their identity with all their new players this season. The Nets don’t nearly have the amount of talent New York has, but they’re scrappy and will especially be up for this one, playing against their former teammate in Mikal Bridges. Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony-Towns are currently game time decisions and the Nets are 5-1 ATS on the road thus far.

Jordi Fernandez seems to be pushing the right buttons in Brooklyn as the Nets are staying competitive. A pleasant surprise has been vet G Dennis Schroder, scoring at a 19.3 pg clip and dishing out 6 assists per game. Meanwhile, fellow G Cam Thomas (23.8 pg) is emerging as one of the top backcourt threats in the East. As for the 5-6 Knicks, they're still trying to put together the pieces from their offseason that included adding Karl-Anthony Towns from the T-wolves (note KAT did score 44 at midweek vs. the Sixers). KAT, however, is dealing with a left knee contusion that has his status iffy for Friday, while Jalen Brunson (though likely to be available tonight) deals with an ankle problem. Play Nets

The Nets keep things close, especially when they are up against a more talented team. They aren't getting blown up nearly as much as they used to, and they'll be up for this. They are 9-3 ATS and 4-2 ATS when a dog of 8.5 points or more. Knicks are just 5-6 ATS. Nets size and inside presence has been a problem for other teams and Knicks haven't been a favorite this big all season. Nets are 7-2 ATS as dogs and seem to relish pushing playoff teams to the brink.
