Both teams are missing key players, but I think the Grizzlies' absences (Ja Morant, Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, Santi Aldama) will matter more in this particular matchup. The Pelicans are strong inside with Zion Williamson, Jonas Valanciunas and Larry Nance. When Williamson, Brandon Ingram and C.J. McCollum were on the floor together the past two seasons, New Orleans was a top-tier NBA team. At least for the opener, they're all ready to go.

Not a lot has gone right for the Grizzlies leading up to the start of the season. Ja Morant has been suspended for their first 25 games. Steven Adams needed season-ending knee surgery. To top it off, Santi Aldama (ankle) will be out for their opener. With their depth decimated, look for Zion Williamson and the Pelicans to earn the road victory.
