James Harden is going up against the Pacers who are allowing the 24th most points per game in the NBA, and they tend to struggle against shooting guards. Harden has hit this number in 6 of his last 9 games, as well as both previous games against the Pacers.

Maxey has started and played at least 34 minutes in each of the last three games. He scored at least 26 points in each game, and if you go back a little further, he has scored at least 23 points in four straight. It looks like Tobias Harris (calf) and P.J. Tucker (back) could both sit this one out, as they are listed as questionable and did not participate in Monday’s shootaround. With plenty of playing time coming against a Pacers team that ranks inside the top-10 in the league in pace and play and inside the bottom-10 in defensive rating, Maxey is poised for another scoring outburst.

We are getting a sizable discount on this combo line as Buddy averages 24.9 combined points, rebounds, and assists. The discount is likely a result of facing the 76ers who are ranked in the top 10 in nearly every defensive metric, while playing at one of the slower paces in the NBA. While this undoubtedly a tough match up, Hield is averaging 18 PPG over 16 career appearances against the 76ers, which includes nine 20+ point performances as well. Hield has eclipsed this line in 10 of his previous 13 head to head match ups, and is averaging a hefty 29.6 PRA. Both Tobias Harris and PJ Tucker are questionable, and if one or either were to miss the game, it would reduce the chances of a blowout and also make things a bit easier for Hield from an individual standpoint. It wouldn't surprise me if Buddy sees an uptick in usage tonight while his shooting and slashing should be enough to cash this combo prop for us.
