Memphis is off to a strong 3-1 start but the Grizzlies are traveling in a desperate early spot for the Kings. Sacramento is winless, but I really liked the fight it showed in losing to the Warriors, outscoring Golden State 31-14 in the fourth quarter. The Kings have talent, they just need to see one win across the finish line. Look for them to get it Thursday.
The Memphis Grizzlies possess the same flash and grit we saw take center stage in the postseason last year. Ja Morant will be a force every single night, but the Grizzlies have shown to be a bit more vulnerable with their depth. The Kings at home should keep this close with the insertion of Keegan Murray into the starting lineup. Take the Kings to threaten to get their first win of the season.
The Kings are still looking for their first win of the season. They’ve started out with losses to the Trail Blazers, Clippers and Warriors, with two of those games being played at home. Despite their three losses, they are 2-1 ATS. Dillon Brooks is back for the Grizzlies, providing a key secondary scoring option for Ja Morant. If forced to choose a side, I think the Grizzlies cover here, but I feel more comfortable playing them on the moneyline.
