Dallas is rolling right now but almost seems due for a bad game if that makes sense -- plus no Kristaps Porzingis. New York could dominate in the post with Julius Randle, Taj Gibson, Mitchell Robinson and Nerlens Noel all healthy together for the first time in weeks. New York has covered four straight at home. The SportsLine Projection Model has the Knicks winning by a point.
I'm smashing the over almost every time the total is this low. The Knicks average 105.7 points at home and have cracked 100 points in six straight contests at Madison Square Garden. New York has averaged 108.2 points over its last five home games. I expect Kristaps Porzingis's (health and safety protocols) absence to help Julius Randle get to the rim and power New York's offense after his latest two-point performance. Randle scored 44 points in a game that tallied 226 points the last time Kleber was his primary defender. Kemba Walker (knee) is questionable, and his return could make this line even more enticing.
The Mavericks might be finally starting to put everything together. They have won six straight games, which included knocking off the Warriors, Bulls and Nuggets. Each of their six wins came by at least nine points, while five of them were all by at least 14 points. Mind you, this has come with Kristaps Porzingis (COVID-19) out each of the last five games. Even with Porzingis out again Wednesday, I like them to continue their hot streak.
