I want to take moneyline here so bad, but I’ll gladly take all of these points. I believe Denver is better overall and should be up 2-1 in this series. After LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Nuggets have the next six best players in this series.
The arrogance of the Lakers is hilarious. After the Game 3 loss, the team sent a letter to the NBA notifying them LeBron James wasn’t getting to the foul line enough in the series. There was no letter sent by the Nuggets crying about the malicious hacks and swipes with sharp elbows in an attempt to intimidate. This is a turning point, I believe, and the Nuggets don’t need a down 3-1 situation to show up. They out-rebounded the Lakers a whopping 53-34 in Game 3 and shot 54 percent from the field. Momentum has me on the Nuggets.
The Nuggets won by eight points in Game 3, and the contest was even more lopsided than the final score indicated. The Lakers made a late charge, but their offense looked disjointed for most of the game. Their problem has been an inability to make 3-pointers. They have hit only 30.6 percent of them across the last two games compared to 35.8 for the Nuggets. Even if the Lakers win, expect the Nuggets to once again put up a good fight and keep things close.
