All eyes will be on Wednesday's matchup between the Clippers and Rockets. The Clippers have already shown their power in the West with victories over the Warriors, Lakers, and Raptors. Houston, on the other hand, has had its ups and downs but matches the Clippers' overall record. This is the type of matchup where bench production will lead to victory. Look for the Rockets to win in that department and pull off the cover.
I do enjoy seeing high totals in games involving the Clippers. The Under has gone 7-3 in Clippers games this season because the Clippers are one of the best defensive teams in the league. The Rockets are not. They depend on offense to win games, but Eric Gordon out and Kawhi Leonard hounding James Harden, the Rockets won't find life easy on the offensive end tonight.
The big news leading up to this game is the status of Paul George (shoulder), who is listed as questionable. If he does play, it would be his first appearance in a Clippers’ uniform. However, I’m not counting on him to take the floor since the Clippers play again Thursday. I could see them sitting George here, then playing him Thursday and resting Kawhi Leonard. The Rockets will be missing two key parts of their rotation with Eric Gordon (knee) and Danuel House Jr. (back) out, so I’ll take the Clippers and the points.
