He’s under this line in 6/8, pitching to a 6.16 ERA, with an 11.4% walk rate and needing 4.04 pitches per plate appearance. He’ll face a healthy Rangers lineup that features six hitters with wRC+ of 106 or better against lefties (keep in mind, that metric adjusts for ballpark conditions), and five with above average walk rates.
Let's ride the hot streak with Athletics slugger Tyler Soderstrom. He has at least one hit in all ten August games, including eight extra base hits. Tonight, Soderstrom faces Kumar Rocker, a pitcher he's fared well against over their careers. In ten career at-bats, Soderstrom has four hits, three walks, and three strikeouts. Basically Soderstrom has either gotten on base or struck out in each AB. And of the four hits, three have been doubles. I'll take my chances for another extra base hit in what should be prime hitting conditions in Sacramento tonight.
