The Astros ML is now worse than -200 with the Blue Jays sitting Vlad Jr and Alejandro Kirk today, and we get Hunter Brown facing off with Jameson Taillon. Even if Taillon can hold the Astros offense at bay for a few innings, I'm not convinced he can make it last, and we're past that $1 or better of value threshold here on the pitcher to record a win prop vs the ML price. Taillon has struggled mightily this year, and will make his first start for his new team, while Hunter Brown was just one out away from putting together back to back quality starts in his last one. I'll back Houston's bats to give Brown enough run support to leave with a win.

HoustonтАЩs home OPS (.945) and that vs. RHPs (.848) is miles ahead of TorontoтАЩs splits the last two weeks. Hunter Brown, in 10 starts for Houston, has given up 0-2 earned runs seven times.
CaesarтАЩs / MGM. Hunter Brown remains one of the tougher pitchers to get a hit off of. Holding hitters to a .202 average (.200 xBA), Brown has stayed under this line in 8/10 starts this season. And by virtue of his sky-high 13.5% walk rate, Brown only allows a hit every 24 pitches thrown, or 5.9 batters faced. While the Blue Jays are one of the better righty hitting teams, theyтАЩre only hitting .233 against this side of the platoon since July 1st.
Houston catches a break Wednesday in avoiding Toronto ace Dylan Cease even though it was his turn and instead getting Jameson Taillon. Gotta take advantage of that gift in the matinee. Taillon gave up a homer about every other inning, it seemed, until the Cubs DFA'd him. With Thursday off, the Stros can empty the bullpen if need be behind Hunter Brown (3-1, 3.42 ERA).
