New York has won six of their last seven games against the White Sox. Gerrit Cole has allowed three runs, or more, in four of his last six starts and the line has been moving in Chicago’s favor. Anthony Kay has allowed two runs, or less, in four straight starts but struggled the last time he faced the Yankees, four runs in four innings. New York’s offense took another hit with Cody Bellinger heading to the IL with a hamstring injury. Kay is due for regression but he has enough strikeout ability to limit tonight’s weaker Yankee lineup.

After Max Fried was unable to give the Yankees any length last night, they could really use a good six innings from Gerrit Cole tonight. New York used seven relievers after Fried's three innings, and five of those arms would be used in three of the last four days if used tonight. They won last night, the offense can and should hit well of Anthony Kay to give Cole some runs, and I think Boone does everything he can to push him through six innings with an extra day of rest and 93 pitches last time out.

I’ve been very encouraged by Gerrit Cole in the month of July as the former Cy Young winner appears to have returned to form. He’s coming off of his best start of the season where he recorded 21 whiffs on 53 strikes. I like his chances of piling up another 7+ Ks today versus a White Sox lineup that has struck out at an above average rate this season. I’m also backing Cole to go 6+ innings today but like both of these props.

I like this spot for Gerrit Cole who has looked more like himself through the month of July. He’ll be facing a surprisingly potent Chicago White Sox lineup, however I like his chances of getting in at least 6 IP. I also will be backing Cole on his strikeout line of 6.5 as well. He had his best start of the season from a whiff standpoint and appears to pitching without limitations.
