Still, Fedde should be covering the bulk of the innings and he's allowed 33 hits in 28 innings to righties, with 11 of those hits leaving the yard. It's a startling home run total, and with the hot and humid weather in Chicago tonight, I'm going to back Acuna to have an extra base hit or a multi-hit game. He needs a bounce back effort after ending the weekend on an 0-4 with three strikeouts, and he's feasted on righties thus far, with a .291 avg with a near .900 OPS and six homers in 150 plate appearances.
Atlanta has won its last five series openers, and I like the Braves' chances to cover this run line at plus-money. The Braves rank second in OPS (.764) versus right-handed pitching. That should spell trouble for 33-year-old White Sox bulk reliever Erick Fedde. He has a bottom-3 percent strikeout rate and has served up 10 homers in his last seven starts. Current Braves own an .835 OPS against him. Fedde has made 12 appearances (11 starts) against the Braves in his career, going 0-6 with a 9.59 ERA.
