This was not on my radar but Houston's lineup today is missing Isaac Paredes, Jeremy Pena, Yordan Alvarez (all on IL), AL Rookie of the Year candidate Cam Smith and future Hall of Famer Jose Altuve. Wish we had team totals. Pitcher Brandon Walter is 0-2 with a 4.82 ERA on the road. Arizona's Brandon Pfaadt has been great of late with just two ER allowed over 15 innings in his past two outings. If the Snakes can't win this game, and I'm going two units on it with that putrid Houston lineup, then they should start trading guys immediately.
These have been two of the better offenses in the league of late. Houston is 5-3-2 to the over in their last 10 games, where those games have seen six, or more, runs in five of their last six played on the road as well. Brandon Pfaadt has been inconsistent for the most part of the season but has been some progression at home, holding his openers to two runs, or less, in three of his last four home starts. Brandon Walter has so been inconsistent on the road but the Diamondbacks are only hitting .243 during day games this season.

Brandon Pfaadt’s strikeout numbers have dipped in his third season. Pfaadt is averaging just 7.62 K/9 and after examining his strikeout metrics they paint a concerning picture. Pfaadt is averaging a dismal sub 10 percent SwStr% and his contact percentage is over 80%. Both of these marks are low for starting pitchers and then you couple that with an Astros team that ranks in the bottom 10 in K Rate and Pfaadt will have his work cut out for himself.
