DraftKings. After an uncharacteristically strong start to his season, Patrick Corbin has come down to earth of late. Over his last seven starts, Corbin has pitched to a 5.12 ERA, staying under this outs total in six of his outings. The lefty has struggled mightily the third time through lineups, allowing a 1.097 OPS. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy has pulled Corbin before reaching 90 pitches in 10 of his 14 starts. While the Orioles haven’t been particularly strong versus left-handed pitching this season, they did just tattoo Corbin for nine hits and five runs in just five innings of work last week.

Patrick Corbin is having one of his best career seasons and you have to go all the way back to the 2019 season to find Corbin with a lower ERA than his present 4.24. With that being said, six strikeouts is a massive number for Corbin, even in a plus matchup versus Baltimore. While the O’s are struggling, they have excellent career numbers against Corbin. I would fade Corbin in almost any matchup at 5.5.
Can the Birds pull themselves back into AL wild card contention? In this year's AL, that's not impossible, and noting the O's have won 20 of 33 while just taking a weekend set from the red-hot Rays. Ex-Marlin Trevor Rogers has also impressed in recent efforts on the mound, especially his last outing vs. these same Rangers last Monday when spinning 8 shutout innings of three-hit ball in a 6-0 Baltimore win. Meanwhile, Patrick Corbin, on the losing end for the Rangers last Monday, has had two very shaky starts in a row, surrendering 9 runs and 15 hits across 10 IP (8.10 ERA) in losses to the Royals and also the aforementioned last Monday vs. the O's. Play Orioles on Money Line
This is a rematch from last Monday when Trevor Rogers and the Baltimore Orioles defeated Patrick Corbin and the Texas Rangers. In that game, Rogers threw over 100 pitches. Throughout his career, he has surpassed 100+ pitches five times. In his subsequent starts, he allowed two earned runs in 5.2 innings, two earned runs in 3 innings, four earned runs in 6 innings, five earned runs in 4 innings, and eight earned runs in 3 innings during the 2020 season. This will be his first start ever at Globe Life Field. Baltimore used two high-leverage pitchers from their bullpen on Sunday, and the team is currently ranked 26th in ERA, while the Rangers bullpen is ranked fourth.
