Thus far, road games and the Cards haven't mixed, with St Louis 2-11 as a visitor into Cincy. Further worries tonight at GABP regarding starter Andrew Pallante, whose last two starts (8 runs and 14 hits across 10 1/3 IP, including three homers) have been shaky to put it least. Meanwhile, Nick Martinez due to catch a break on the mound for the Reds, who have lost in all five of Nick's starts, though not all his fault, as he's pitched well enough to win a few of those, and the Reds have scored three or fewer runs in four of those. Buoyed by the weekend sweep in Denver and four-game win streak, Cincy might be on the rise. Play Reds on Money Line

Nick Martinez projects much closer to 15 outs than 18 outs tonight. He's failed to finish six full innings in four straight starts and only achieved the over on this line once, in his first start of the year. The Reds got a couple of quality starts recently which has kept their bullpen fresh, and mostly everyone should be available tonight. The Cardinals have been hot of late against righties and they've bumped up their walk rate to go along with it. Not much needs to go wrong to simply not finish the full six innings, and I have a bit of value on this number while still at 17.5.

DraftKings. Nick Martinez has failed to finish six innings in each of his last four starts. While he’s efficient with his pitches, the Reds keep him on a short leash the third time through the order, as opponents are hitting 10/23 with three home runs in that split (1.437 OPS, and were 24/74 last season). He’ll face the Cardinals, who’ve been raking over the last week (124 wRC+ and a .794 OPS versus righties). They’re patient too, seeing the tenth most pitches per plate appearance as a team.
This play is little more than me thinking the Cardinals should not be favored on the road considering they are 2-11 away. Andre Pallante has a 6.14 ERA in three road starts. The Reds enter on a season-high-tying four-game winning streak and play at home for the first time since April 17. Their bullpen will be fully ready after Sunday's easy victory in Denver. Cincy's offense has been completely different since outfielder Austin Hays came off the IL on April 15 as Hays is raking.
