NYY lineup falls off a cliff after the 3rd or 4th spot, their bullpen is in tatters and Garrett Cole was mire limited in his pitch count than expected in his first time back from a long absence. I'm thinking 75 pitches tops here. Mets are mashing, playing with confidence, have better record than NYY last 20 games (14-6; 11-9). Yanks just 9-10 vs LHP, and David Peterson is good enough to keep the Metropolitans in it. Mets 9-2 last 11, 6-2 last 8 as home team. Lot of value here for them. Yanks and O's are gonna be down a bit here I believe.

The Mets are playing arguably their best ball of the season entering Tuesday's Subway Series opener and the Yankees arguably their worst. That NYY lineup isn't quite as imposing down Anthony Rizzo and now Giancarlo Stanton as well. Stanton actually was having a decent year. Gerrit Cole pitches here but likely limited to five innings in his second outing off elbow trouble. The Mets have won three straight David Peterson starts. A sweep of this mini-series would really kick-start a Mets season turnaround if it's not already underway.
