Braxton Garrett's season debut was delayed due to injury, and he hasn't looked right in his two starts with 11 earned runs in just 9.2 innings. He'll be up against a D-Backs offense that hits .292/.347/.464 against lefties and in a situation where the Marlins have basically a completely fresh bullpen due to Thursday's off-day and Jesus Luzardo pitching eight innings Wednesday. The Marlins must get a righty on the mound at the first sign of trouble today to give themselves a chance to keep stacking wins amidst a 6-2 run defined largely by great pitching, and if Garrett does somehow give them five good innings, I don't see them pressing their luck.
The Marlins are 6-2 in their last eight games, and they've shut out the opposition in four of those wins while allowing two runs in another. But they can't count on a plus pitching effort today with Braxton Garrett on the mound against a D-Backs lineup that annihilates lefties (131 OPS+). On the other side of the equation is Zac Gallen, who has dominated the Marlins in three career starts. I expect Arizona to jump out an early lead and win my multiple runs today.

Walker is raking and he destroys left handed pitching and tonight he gets a lefty who can't get anybody out. He's driven in 11 in just 50 ABs vs lefites with an ,828 OPS and for much of the season no one was getting on around him. Already has 32 driven in. Braxton Garrett is putting over 1.5 on per inning.
Miami is 7-15 on the road and 12 of those losses have been by 2 runs or more. Zac Gallen is pitching very well and, revenge-driven or not, is 3-0 vs the Fish with a 1.39 ERA (all have come relatively recently) Braxton Garrett is carrying an ERA over 10, Christian Walker mashes him, Gabriel Moreno is starting to break out of his sophomore slump, perhaps (at least he's getting on base again) and Ketel Marte is on fire. Wouldn't be surprised if that whacking of the Dodgers in LA starts to catapult the lagging Snakes forward, and this could be a fun weekend for them.
I rather enjoy those out there who say 5U premium! Lock it in. There are no locks in life/sports. Well. It is a lock I don't care about what is going on with Ben Affleck (moron) and J-Lo. Ring me Jenny. It's 867-5309. Not quite a lock but pretty sure: A Jerry Reinsdorf-owned team will not win a title the rest of my lifetime. And we slide down a lock level here, but I like this. For sure listed pitcher on Zac Gallen. He is just a different cat at home. I don't really understand why this isn't in the -220 range, not that Arizona is all that. But consider the opponent.
