The Twins finally snapped their 18-game playoff losing streak. They even advanced to the Divisional Series by sweeping the Blue Jays. However, this is going to be a much more difficult task against the Astros, who will send their ace Justin Verlander to the mound for Game 1. Over 207 2/3 career innings in the playoffs, he has a 3.64 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and has recorded 230 strikeouts. Look for Verlander to get the Astros started off on the right foot with a win in Game 1.

This is my favorite play of Saturday's 4 games, so I'm betting extra. Really happy for the Twins ending that long postseason losing streak but they faced a team with no heart at all in the Blue Jays and also had to use their top two starting pitchers. Joe Ryan goes here and that's a mega-mismatch against Justin Verlander. No team is more comfortable in this spot than the veteran Astros. They won't take Game 1 for granted. Minnesota was under .500 on the road and Ryan had a 5.22 away ERA.
