Kopech has only pitched over 5 innings once in his previous four starts which should result in the Braves getting to face Chicago's shaky bullpen which currently sports the 5th highest ERA (4.74) in the league.

The White Sox are 16 games under .500 and will be sellers at the trade deadline. Their best player, Luis Robert, felt calf tightness during the Home Run Derby and had to pull out of the All-Star Game. He said he'll be 100 percent for Friday's game in Atlanta, but that has not been confirmed. Michael Kopech returns from shoulder inflammation against the NL's top offense. In his last three starts, Kopech walked 16 while fanning 12 in 12.1 innings. He relies on his fastball, and the Braves crush fastballs. Back Charlie Morton (9-6, 3.43 ERA) and the Braves on the run line.

As if the White Sox won’t have a hard enough time trying to keep the Braves’ lineup in check, they could be facing an uphill battle to score with Charlie Morton opposing them. Morton has allowed three or fewer earned runs in each of his last five starts, posting 34 strikeouts across 27 2/3 innings during that span. This game has the potential to get ugly in a hurry for Chicago.
