Washington’s Demond Williams Jr. being a dual-threat quarterback make give the Buckeye’s fits. Along with an above average run game and the fact that Ohio State has to travel cross country while playing in a hostile environment may provide a tough test for them. The Huskies will need to control the tempo of the game in this one.
Washington is 3-0 with two covers this season in three practice games against Colorado State, UC Davis, and at Washington State. They're getting more credit than they deserve for their early play. This is their one big moment for them to excel in Big Ten football, and they failed every other big chance since coming to the league last year. They only bring four offensive starters back from last year, that was just roughed up at Oregon, at Penn State, at Indiana, at Iowa, and at Rutgers in a 6-7 season. Now you're going to tell me that they're going to give the national champions a tough game? Their transfer portal acquisitions weren’t game changers. Ohio State covers.
With RB Jonah Coleman and QB Demond Williams, the Washington Huskies are explosive on both ends of offense. Ohio State has shown its much more methodical in their approach, but they haven't been tested yet on both side of the ball this season. This is truly their first test, especially on defense. Expect this one to reflect that with how tight the score will be.
I think this is a tricky game for Ohio State with the Buckeyes playing their first road game of the season. Washington is a team I was high on entering the season and I had this spot circled at +9 or better. The opener at DK is 10.5, so I'll grab it early. I'd play Washington at +10 or better. I think they stay within double-digits here.
