A little too much is being made of the "revenge" angle that has driven this spread from -3 to -7 or -7.5 at most outlets, following SMU's blowout win last year. We lean to the underdog at this price but also feel the safer play is the Over between two clubs that both have experienced QBs and potent weapons that love to go up tempo on offense.

Four of the last five meetings between the Iron Skillet rivals have gone over 75 points, and last year's 66-42 SMU win had hit 62 total points by halftime. I don't think we hit 100 again, but this is a series that is destined for a 42-35 type game with score-or-stop determining the winner over the final 2-3 series.

I'm taking TCU early because I think this number goes up. I love the Horned Frogs this season and I haven't been impressed with SMU so far. This is also a revenge spot for TCU after getting drilled 66-42 on the road last season. Grab the Frogs at anything under a TD.
