Cam Ward leads the nation 20 passing touchdowns and his efforts have Miami sitting No. 1 in total offense. The issue recently, however, has been giving up about as many big plays as the Hurricanes are creating in back-to-back shootout wins against Virginia Tech (38-34) and Cal (39-38). Jeff Brohm is an excellent play-caller and game-planner and should have. something cooked up to combat Miami's pressure, leading to a track meet that may resemble last year's 38-31 meeting between these two teams.

The Cardinals barely squeaked by Virginia amid what might have been a look-ahead spot for this matchup. The Cardinals previously lost one-score games to Notre Dame and red-hot SMU, but at their peak this is a dangerous club and they should give their best performance of the season. Miami had a week off following its spectacular comeback at California but if the Hurricanes keep their perfect star un tact, it will be by another thin margin.
